The “Country Jam” held Friday (March 26) at the Emo Legion was, by far, the best attended to date.
An extra table or two were set up and chairs were squeezed in so the dance floor remained large enough for the enthusiastic crowd.
A dedicated group of musicians made the evening complete by providing some of the old-time favourites, along with a few more modern pieces.
On guitar were Jamie Fiset (the youngest entertainer), Sandra Pietila, Patti Brown, Charleen Gustafson, Bob Wepruk, Lawrence Bellamy, Carl White, and Morris Halverson.
Accordianists Harold Singbeil, Vern Silver, and Emily Smith added to the festivities while rounding out the crew were Bob Brown on harmonica and Cecile Cole on piano.
Members of the audience once again came from far and wide, including Atikokan, Dryden, Whitefish Bay, Nestor Falls, Baudette, and everywhere in between.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, especially the younger members of the crowd, and the evening literally flew by.
The next two “Country Jams” are scheduled for April 23 and May 14. Make sure you mark these dates on your calendar and plan on attending.
The crowds are getting bigger and the entertainment’s getting better, so don’t miss the next “Jam.”
