Kasper suspending operations

Press Release

Kasper Transportation notified the Ministry of Transportation that the company will be suspending operations of all routes effective Saturday, May 2, 2020. The decrease in revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic makes it financially irresponsible to continue operations at this time.

Kasper Transportation provides intercommunity land-based transportation services to the northern 50 per cent of the landmass of Ontario and plays a vital role in providing passenger, charter, and freight services. We are also suspending our twice-daily Owen Sound to Guelph service.

Suspending their service will impact a significant portion of our population that do not have access to private vehicle transportation and must travel for essential medical appointments and for employment. Kasper Transportation freight services transport medical samples, municipal water testing samples, drug prescriptions, and freight for mines and hydro development projects.
