A spray park is a playground with water. It has names like Whale Tale, Water Willow, Spill-o-Saurus, Ground Gusher, and Magic Touch Fire Hydrant.
It’s also the newest development in family outdoor fun.
You know how much kids enjoy running through the backyard sprinkler. Imagine the fun they will have in an exciting world of unpredictable sprayers, oversized water cannons, and larger-than-life creatures—all dripping with imaginative fun.
Oh, and here’s the best part: there’s one coming to Emo!
Organizers for the Emo spray park have chosen the Aruba Splash Pad design and plan to divide the park into areas for three age groups.
One area will be designed for toddlers, featuring gentle interactive ground sprays and splash pads. Older kids will enjoy mazes, water cannons, dumping water, geysers, jets, and more.
All the components are interactive, and kids will be able to play alone or with their friends.
With its large, colourful structures, a “sprayground” is an exciting attraction that promises hours of fun and exercise for kids of all ages.
The Emo spray park will be located on the waterfront in Emo. All the structures and sprays are designed so the water drains away before it accumulates.
There will be space for adults to sit and enjoy the activities and outdoor facilities. It also will be a great spot for summer birthday parties!
Fundraising efforts for the Emo spray park are in full swing. The initial fundraiser is a “fun” Casino Night planned for Saturday, April 5 at the Emo arena.
Black Jack, roulette, and craps are just a few of the tables you can spend your “Casino Bucks” at. The evening starts with cocktails at 7 p.m., followed by gaming and the silent and live auctions.
Music for dancing will be provided by Yowza, and a light lunch will be served at 11 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 each, which are available at Northwoods Gallery & Gifts in Fort Frances, the Times’ office, and most businesses in Emo.
Be sure to bring your cheque book so you can bid on the silent and live auction items. Artisans, crafters, and businesses from all over the district have donated some exceptional items.
Donations for the auctions includes a telescope and binocular combination, a guided day fishing package, a cedar tete-a-tete, plus many handcrafted items, paintings, and more.
See you in Emo on April 5! Let’s make the spray park a reality.
