“Tickets are still for sale for the Joel Fafard concert tonight at 7:30 p.m.,” said tour de Fort spokesperson Wanda Botsford.
“They are selling for $10, and can be picked up at la Place Rendez-Vous or the Fort Frances Public Library,” she added.
The concert is being held at the Rendez-Vous.
Haling from southern Saskatchewan, Fafard and his band have been fast on their way to making a big name for themselves in the Canadian music industry.
With the release of his first solo album in 1996, Fafard has been changing his style and honing his skills in an effort to better reach his audience and appeal to their musical side.
“This concert should be really great,” Botsford noted. “Overlooking the water at La Place Rendez-Vous, it really can’t get any better than that.”
With the release of his latest CD “Head Smashed In,” Fafard and his four-member band are taking their worldly beat and mature songwriting on the road to perform at a number of venues across Canada.
“[Joel] makes a real connection with the audience,” said tour de Fort president Wendy Brunetta. “He’s very down-to-earth [and] his stories are interesting and fun.”
