James Gibson, a dairy and beef producer, is vying for the position of councillor for Ward 3 in the Township of Chapple.
He lives with his wife, Kathy, and has two daughters, Jennifer and Laura, and four grandchildren, Brookelyn, Owen, Evan, and Aidan.
Gibson has not held a position in public office before, but has nine years of experience with the Rainy River Federation of Agriculture and five years with the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society.
If elected, he has no real agenda—only to do the best job he can for the people of Chapple.
His interest lies more in new issues rather than old ones. He knows promotion of businesses and jobs in the area is important for the municipality’s tax base.
He also is sure lots of interesting issues will come up to make being a councillor interesting.
Gibson thanks everyone for their support.
