A sure sign that spring is just around the corner is when it’s time to turn our clocks ahead one hour, or as the old saying goes: “Spring forward.”
Be sure to set your clocks before going to bed Saturday night or you may be an hour late for your events on Sunday.
Hurray, hurray—an extra hour of daylight in the evening!

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual Shamrock tea and bake sale next Friday (March 16) from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Emo Health Centre.
Donations of baking would be appreciated.
Admission is $3, with proceeds going towards the X-ray upgrade there.
Auxiliary memberships also will be available for $2 each.

The Emo Legion will hold its annual Good Friday fish fry—featuring walleye, potatoes, salads, and all the trimmings—on April 6 starting at 5 p.m.
As always, take-out meals will be available prior to the dinner being served.

The February winner of Dev-Lynne’s monthly draw for a $100 gas voucher was John Gerley.

Iris Shute and her three daughters (Andrea, Angela, and Amy) recently returned home from a week in Freeport, Bahamas.
All four enjoyed their week and have many memories of good times to get them through the rest of the winter.

Jeanine Shine is happy to be back home after spending time in hospital in Thunder Bay and Fort Frances.

Cards played at the Emo Legion last Wednesday saw the high go to Mervin Hyatt and Roy Sigurdson while Rita Woodland and Adelia Guba took the low.
Rita also won the draw prize.
