Input requested for school calendar

Staff

Parents, students and community members are being asked to have their say in what the 2021-22 school calendar will look like.

A survey launched last week, which is available until Friday, will determine whether the school year begins before or after Labour Day, and how close to Canada Day the final day of classes will land.

The survey takes less than one minute to complete and there are two proposed calendars available for consideration.

The survey is available on all board websites, and can be accessed directly here:

Once the consultation process is complete, the survey results will be reviewed by the Regional School Year Calendar Committee, which is comprised of five area school boards: the Northwest Catholic District School Board, the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, the Rainy River District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district Catholique des Aurores boréales and the Kenora Catholic District School Board. The five school boards share a common school year calendar due to shared busing.
