A Rainy River District OPP officer stopped a vehicle near the 700 block of King’s Highway on Wednesday around 8:15 p.m. after the driver failed to stop for a pedestrian using the light-activated crosswalk.
The 53-year-old male was arrested after the officer determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was taken into custody, the vehicle was impounded, and breath samples were taken, resulting in double the legal limit.
The male later was released from custody pending a court appearance here April 16.
