‘Idea Factory Challenge’ now underway

The Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre has launched the fifth “Idea Factory Challenge,” which is again seeking the best new innovative ideas in our region.
The Innovation Centre has partnered with three Community Futures Development Corporations to offer “Idea Challenges” in their regions.
Here in Rainy River District, the Rainy River Future Development Corp. is providing sponsorship.
Any resident of Rainy River District may submit their idea to the RRFDC’s office at 608 Scott St. in Fort Frances.
The winner will receive 12 months of support through the Innovation Centre’s “Innovator Members” program and $4,000 to be used toward business expenses.
The support focuses on moving innovation forward and onto the market.
The innovations will be judged on the basis of innovation/ingenuity, viability, marketability, and potential for economic impact in Northwestern Ontario.
The deadline to submit your project is Thursday, Feb. 28.
For more information, contact the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre at 1-866-768-6682 or the RRFDC at 274-3276.
