The Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service responded to a house fire on the 900 block of Phair Avenue yesterday.
The occupants of the home escaped uninjured although the residence was damaged extensively.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
The fire department also was called out late yesterday afternoon to extinguish a grass fire by the train tracks along Fourth Street West.
