Hospital tea raises money for CT scan

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank the groups that came to help out at our annual fall tea and bake sale, as they do each year.
The weather was not great, but the people came out to the Emo Legion on Friday to support our cause.
We are overwhelmed each time by the support we get from our communities. And we raised just over $1,400.
A donation will be given to the CT Scan fundraiser and other projects for the Emo Health Centre.
As well as socializing, refreshments, and baked goods, several draw prizes were up for grabs. Janet Johnson won the door prize, which was a basket of goodies donated by Cloverleaf.
Frances Flook won the draw for the baking certificate donated by Susan Irvine while Evelyn Kinsman took home the Avon/Dora basket donated by Avon rep Marie Hughes.
Meanwhile, Joyce Meyers earned the Acorn Bowl, donated by Emo Drugs, and Mary Gavin was the draw winner of the fleece throw, donated by The Thread Shed.
And, finally, Carol McClain took home the Black Forest cake donated each year by Tibia Nussbaumer.
In addition, many lovely items were donated for our penny table, with too many winners to list.
Thanks once again for donating, working, and joining us for this fall tea event.
