A home was lost to fire on Monday (Feb. 21).
Carrie and Jody Shypit not only lost their home but all of their belongings.
We’re thinking of Carrie, Jody, and their family at this difficult time.

The Crossroads girls’ basketball team won silver at a recent tournament hosted by J.W. Walker School in Fort Frances.
Seven teams participated.
Congratulations, girls, on your accomplishment.

A St. Patrick’s dinner, featuring corned beef, cabbage, roast pork, potatoes, beans, and veggies, will be held Saturday, March 19 at the Chapple Hall.
The dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and will cost $15 each.
Be sure to mark this date on your calendar—it will be a fun and delicious way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Last week’s card games played at the Devlin Hall saw the high going to Norbert Bragg and Yvonne Kellar.
The low was taken by Bob McLean and Lois Shine.

The next school council meeting at Crossroads will be held next Tuesday (March 1) at 6 p.m.
Snacks will be served.

If anyone has not yet registered their children for Junior Kindergarten in the fall, just stop by Crossroads from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on any school day.

Family Day was enjoyed by more than 100 people at the Emo-La Vallee Arena. Activities included free skating, shinny hockey, games, and movies.
