Over the past several days, the Rainy River District OPP has been alerted to several traffic complaints around J.W. Walker School located on the 400 block of Keating Avenue South.
For everyone’s safety, the OPP and the Fort Frances By-Law Department are urging parents to utilize the “Kiss ‘n Ride” program.
Police also are reminding the public that calendar parking is in effect and to respect no parking zones and private driveways.
Most importantly, be alert and mindful that children could run out onto the street.
“Although the OPP and the Fort Frances by-law enforcement officers will be stepping up school zone enforcement, traffic safety is the responsibility of everyone,” stressed Insp. Nathan Schmidt, Detachment Commander, Rainy River District OPP.
