Health unit to host ‘Play Date’

the NHU

The Northwestern Health Unit invites you to attend a “Play Date” this Wednesday (Nov. 27) from 4:30-7 p.m. at J.W. Walker School.
This event is open to parents and families with children of all ages, however activities will be targeted to those under eight years of age.
There is no cost to attend, and dinner will be provided to children and their families.
Lonna Oster, speech language pathologist at the Northwestern Health Unit, encourages families to attend.
“The ‘Play Date’ is a great chance for parents to take a night to slow down their busy lives and spend some time playing with their children,” she said.
“There will be fun, interactive, and maybe even messy activities for parents and children to enjoy.”
Children learn best through play. The “Play Date” will help parents learn some fun and easy ways to be active with their child to help them grow, learn, and be healthier.
The health unit also will have ’flu shots available for participating children and their families.
