The Emo and District Lions Club would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets for this year’s “Lions’ Share” grocery raffle.
Once again the profits from the draw will be going back into the district to fund several of the club’s current projects.
The winners of this year’s draw were Mavis St. Hilaire (grand prize of $100/week for 52 weeks); Marina Gerber ($100/week for five weeks); and Dale Ossachuk ($100 grocery voucher).
Thanks goes out to Don Foster for helping the club with a spot in the arena during Emo’s Spring Fever Day, as well as to those Lions who sold tickets for the last couple of months and those who helped Lion Fred by taking a turn at the booth during the weekend.
As always, the club is looking for new members who want to work to make our district a better place to live.
If you want to join the largest volunteer organization in the world, let Kent know at Cloverleaf or come out to the Devlin Community Hall on the first Wednesday of the months, starting at 7 p.m.
They meet once a month, have several committees who need enthusiastic members and would welcome your ideas and energy.

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances, will be holding their Spring Tea on Saturday, May 4 from 1-3 p.m.
Donations would be greatly appreciated for the bake table as well as new or “gently loved” items for the penny table.
If you are able to help out the day of the tea or want more information please call Cathy at 274-3408. Come and enjoy the fun!
The organizers of the tea would appreciate help from those in the community who would like take part. Funds raised go to help with outreach projects in the district and with missions around the world.
If this is something that you feel is important, give Cathy a call and ask how you can help.
