Over the past several weeks, members of the Rainy River District OPP were called to investigate suspicious grass fires.
These incidents occurred in the Township of La Vallee and Emo.

In other news, Rainy River District OPP conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Highway 11 in the Township of Emo on Saturday around 9:55 a.m.
After speaking with the driver, police determined he had been drinking.
The driver, identified as a 33-year-old male of Sudbury, failed the roadside test and subsequently was arrested.
He was taken to Fort Frances detachment and charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 mg following the results of breathalyzer tests and driving while under suspension.
He is to appear in court July 18 in Fort Frances.
Also Saturday around 6:45 p.m., Ministry of Natural Resources’ conservation officers contacted police with an impaired boater on Rainy Lake.
The driver of the vessel, a 56-year-old International Falls man, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Fort Frances detachment.
Following the results of breathalyzer tests, he was charged with operating a vessel while impaired and operating a vessel with a blood alcohol level over .08 mg.
He is scheduled to appear in court here July 11.
