Toy/food drives

The Muskie Boys hockey team will be having their own Teddy Toss at their game against the Saints on Thursday. Bring a stuffy to toss on the ice after the team’s first goal.

The Fort Frances Lakers will be accepting new, unwrapped toys outside the sportsplex before their home game Friday night.

The Bargain Shop will be holding their Fill-A-Sleigh event on Saturday, December 11. Donated toys will be split between the Salvation Army and UNFC.

The RedRum Motorcycle Club will be collecting on Saturday noon-4 p.m. at Cloverleaf in Emo. The Salvation Army and UNFC are accepting until Christmas at their respective locations.

Christmas Hamper applications are being accepted at the Salvation Army. Sponsors and adoptees are also needed for the program. Volunteer opportunities

The WRRD Lions are looking for volunteers for the Rainy River COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics, to facilitate the Screening and Flow requirements. If you are able to join, contact John Elliott at elliottjhn@gmail.com or call 807-852- 3790.

The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is seeking bellringers. If you could volunteer a minimum of 2 hrs to ring the bells at one of our locations, please call 807.274.3871 or email fort.bellringer@salvationarmy.ca.

The Fort Frances Meals on Wheels is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals to seniors. To join in, or get more information, call the Riverside Community Support Services at 274-2244.
