Girls just wanna have fun!

Girls just wanna have fun. And if you can do that as well as drive a 2003 red Grand Am, and have half your car insurance paid by the company you’re involved with, that’s even better.
That’s exactly what Carrie Andrusco has been having fun with this past year.
Andrusco is a Mary Kay independent sales director, who began selling the product and getting other girls to join with her less than a year ago.
But because of her hard work, and love for the company and what she does, she was able to start driving her new car Dec. 7 compliments of Mary Kay.
Andrusco and her husband, Mike, along with their three children aged 10, eight, and three, live in Fort Frances, where he is employed by Abitibi-Consolidated.
Andrusco had enjoyed her time at home, but was looking for a way to earn an income while still spending time with her family, be able to be out and about with people, and “they needed a car.”
And believe it or not, she has been able to achieve it all.
This leaves Andrusco feeling “in the pink” (pink, by the way, is the colour of Mary Kay products—and even, in fact, Mary Kay’s favourite colour). And chances are as her success grows with the company, she will be driving a pink Cadillac DeVille herself some day.
In fact, it’s likely Gishelle Marmus (a Mary Kay independent sales director who lives in Rainy River) will be driving a Cadillac this year.
Meanwhile, Andrusco is off to Dallas next month to attend new directors training (Dallas is where the Mary Kay business started in 1963, and the company has been in Canada for 25 years).
Mary Kay Ash passed away last year, however, her family continues to operate the Mary Kay business today. She believed in putting God first, family second, and Mary Kay third, and did her best to instill that in her women who became involved with the company.
Mary Kay learned at a young age—selling vacuum cleaners door to door—what it was like with selling in a man’s world.
So she took her many years of sales experience with men and turned it around and made a fantastic company for women to not only work for but be treated with respect and dignity.
Andrusco feels the reason Mary Kay is so successful today is because women can shop from home or on-line. Women also have the opportunity to try products before they purchase them.
And if a woman chooses to host a Mary Kay party, it’s a great fun way to spend time with friends.
Andrusco shared with me a few of the things that her career with Mary Kay has done for her personally, including helping her get re-acquainted with friends and meet many new ones.
She also has met relatives she never had before.
This company is about women helping women, and Andrusco likes that. This company has enriched her life and her family’s life, and she would like to thank all the people who have helped her get there.
Andrusco ended with saying how her favourite thing about Mary Kay is the integrity of the company.
I’d like to end by saying how much I enjoyed the integrity of Carrie Andrusco and how much she believes in what she’s doing!
