G.E.M.S. take part in Sunday service

Last Sunday, the Christian Reformed Church in Emo celebrated G.E.M.S. during the morning worship.
The girls actively participated by reading scripture, ushering, welcoming visitors and members, and taking up the offering.
It also was preparatory to celebrate the Lord’s supper during the morning worship service this Sunday (May 18).
Also last week, the G.E.M.S. celebrated their annual Achievement Night, during which each team was given the chance to show to their parents and friends what they’ve accomplished during the year.
Pianist Diane Heerema helpd with the music while Corinne Webb was the Master of Ceremonies.
The G.E.M.S. recited their “Aim” showing their emblem, “Created to Worship,” which was this year’s theme. The Adventurers (Grade 4) then took to the stage to present the song, “Jesus is All the World to Me.”
The Discoverers and Advanced (Grade 7/8) then gave a description of their banner and its meaning, followed by the Memory Verse (Psalm 29:2).
The Seekers and Explorers (Grades 5/6) read the “Created to Worship” Litany, with the congregation participating, followed by the singing of their theme song, “Come, Now is the Time to Worship.”
Observers, Learners, and Achievers (Grades 1-3) sang in two parts, “Father, I Adore You.”
Each leader then presented their group with the badges they had earned during the year and then wound up the program with, “What Does the Lord Require of Us.”
