Fundraiser slated for Shypit family

Robin McCormick

Last week, Carrie and Jody Shypit and their children lost their home and belongings to a house fire.
Crossroads School here in Devlin is planning a fundraiser to help cover some of the costs the family has had to endure.
Set from next Wednesday (March 9) from 6-8 p.m., the fundraiser will feature penny tables, a silent auction, and a bake sale.
There also will be live entertainment supplied by various people, and refreshments will be served.
Anyone who would like to donate baking, or articles for the penny table or silent auction, is asked to drop the items off at the school or call 486-3329.
Once again, this fundraiser proves that we not only are a supportive, caring community but also a district.
