There’s fun for the whole family this weekend at the Stratton EarlyON Child and Family Centre as they team up with the Stratton Rec Centre and other community organizations to host the Gather and Grow Conference for Play and Well-Being.

The free, family-friendly conference will be running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Stratton Rec Centre this Saturday, May 24, 2025. According to event organizers, the day will be filled with “hands-on activities, engaging booths, and presentations designed to support the well-being of children (ages 0–6) and their caregivers.” Those who turn out to the event will have fun with bouncy castles and fun movement activities, a visit from Sparky the Fire Dog and local fire trucks, creative play stations, info booths and wellness resources for families, giveaways, take-home kits and more.

“We believe that strong communities grow when families are supported, and this event is all about celebrating connection, care, and collaboration,” said District of Rainy River Services Board Community Engagement Coordinator for Children’s Services Bobbi Wyder.
