Full house attends seniors’ potluck

The Stratton seniors’ Christmas dinner at the Millennium Hall attracted a full house last Thursday, with guests coming from Fort Frances, Emo, Rainy River, Baudette, Nestor Falls, Pinewood, North Branch, and Stratton.
Thank you to the cooks for the delicious food, as well as all the organizers and volunteers for the gifts presented from the ticket names drawn.
Thanks also to “Highway 621,” featuring Leonard Larsen (accordion), Gerry Fisk (guitar and vocals), Fred Brett (guitar), and Roy Jolicouer (vocals and guitar), who entertained for two hours.
Fisk’s daughter also sang.
Congratulations to Merylin Hansen, who won the beautiful quilt draw by the Bergland Women’s Institute. A reminder the W.I. starts quilting again in January.

Collen and Trish Neilson have built a beautiful new barn for their horses and cattle. It’s a great complement to the new house.
