Four people were treated for minor injuries following a single-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon on Highway 502 about two km north of Korpi Road, Fort Frances OPP reported this morning.
Police said the driver of the southbound vehicle lost control after encountering a section of black ice that had formed on the roadway.
The vehicle hit a set of guardrails, entered a ditch, and rolled over, becoming partially submerged in water, police added.
The four occupants were taken to Falls Memorial Hospital in International Falls, where they were treated for minor injuries and released, police said.
The OPP would like to remind all motorists to exercise caution when travelling on area highways and roads. Weather conditions can deteriorate quickly, causing black ice to form.
