Forward sought for hockey program

Hockey Northwestern Ontario has been selected as one of four Hockey Canada branches to participate in the 2007 International Ice Hockey Federation’s youth hockey development program in Vierumaki, Finland from July 1-7.
Hockey Northwestern Ontario will be sending one forward to represent the branch and Hockey Canada in this once-in-a-lifetime event that will include skilled players and coaches from 54 other nations.
The branch is now accepting applications for a participant with the following requirements:
•participant must be male and born in 1992;
•a skilled forward on and off the ice; and
•excellent social skills and attitude
There’s an estimated cost of $2,000 for travel that will be the responsibility of the player. On-site costs such as meals, accomodations, and ice instruction all will be covered by Hockey Canada and the IIHF.
