The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances is excited to be offering a new social activity!
On Friday, Nov. 23, the church is going to become a coffee house! They will open the doors at 6:30 p.m., with live music starting at 6:45.
People are invited to come in, enjoy a beverage and some goodies, while being entertained, with admission being $5/person.
Everyone also will have the chance to shop at the bake table and the penny table located in the “fireplace room.”
Those on hand will enjoy music until about 8 p.m., then organizers will be drawing for the winners of the penny table.
The Church of the Holy Spirit is located in the old Clendenning Clothing Store, which is located on Victoria Avenue just before you get to the train tracks.

The third-annual “Christmas Market” will run on Friday, Nov. 23 from 5-9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Copper River Inn in Fort Frances.
There will be more than 30 tables to shop at so there’s bound to be something for everyone!
Admission is free but the organizers would love for you to bring along a non-perishable food item to be donated to the food bank.
For those who do bring a donation, you will be entered in an hourly draw for a cash voucher to be spent at any one of the booths there.
Come out and support the local artisans–and find a Christmas present for that special someone!

Tickets almost are gone for the Emo & District Lions Club’s annual “Hunters Night” dinner (featuring a meal of wild meat and fish) coming up this Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Barwick Hall.
Tickets are available from club members and at Cloverleaf in Emo.

“Holly Daze” in Emo will take place on Nov. 30-Dec. 1 this year.
There will be the usual Christmas parade, fireworks, craft show, draw prizes, merchant specials, cutest baby contest, tree-lighting ceremony, food drive, and much more!
Santa Claus even will make an appearance! Pictures with Santa will be available, too.
A special note to home businesses and vendors: the municipal office puts on the vendor event upstairs at the arena while the Emo Legion also has vendor tables available during “Holly Daze.”
