’Flu shot clinics coming to district

The Northwestern Health Unit will be holding ’flu shot clinics in the district in the coming weeks.
Walk-in clinics will be open in the Barwick Hall on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 3-7 p.m. and at Donald Young School in Emo on Monday, Nov. 8 from 3:30-7:30 p.m.

The Fort Frances Public Library is holding a workshop entitled “Smartboard for Business” on Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Learn how to use the library’s “Smartboard” as a business meeting tool.
Those interested are asked to register at least two days in advance by calling the library at 274-9879, e-mailing it at ffpltc@gmail.com, or dropping by.

The Friends of the Emo Toy Library are hosting a family Hallowe’en party this Friday (Oct. 29) from 5-7 p.m. at the Emo Legion.
Admission is $3, which includes a coupon for a treat bag and juice.
The party also will feature treats, crafts, dancing, and karaoke, with music being supplied by Yowza.

The Emo Arena board invites you to join them this Sunday (Oct. 31) from 2-4 p.m. for a Hallowe’en skate-a-thon at the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre.

The Northwestern Health Unit is holding a community consultation meeting, “Our Communities, Our Health, Our Future,” on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Emo Inn.
In order to have a truly effective consultation process, it is important to involve as many key community partners and interested people as possible.

The men of the district are invited to a time of connecting and encouragement as they have breakfast (must pay for your own) and then get into a study by Charles Stanley regarding spiritual disciplines.
It will occur on the first and third Wednesdays of the month until the study is completed.
The next meeting will take place Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 6-7:30 a.m. in the side room at the Emo Inn.
