Fire risk up

Two new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by late yesterday afternoon.
Both blazes, which occurred in Red Lake District, were listed as “not under control” at 0.1 hectares and 0.3 ha, respectively.
There are no other active fires in the region.
The forest fire hazard is “low” across most of the region, except for an area of “moderate to high” hazard in the Red Lake and Fort Frances districts.
