No new fires were reported in the Northwest Region as of yesterday afternoon but three were confirmed Saturday.
Two of those blazes were located in Sioux Lookout District, with the other one in Nipigon District.
All three have been declared “out.”
There currently are 14 active fires in the region, including 11 in Sioux Lookout District, two in Nipigon District, and one in Red Lake District.
The forest fire hazard is “low” across most of the region, with pockets of “moderate” hazard in the eastern portions.
