Absolutely no burning is allowed at this time, which includes incinerators and barrels.

Kerry Hyatt recently competed in the Cattlemen’s Young Leaders (CYL) development program as part of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, which provides industry-specific training to assist the beef industry into the future.
Kerry made the first cut of 25. Then on April 16, participants will be chosen to be a part of this year-long opportunity.

Scott Galusha and Leeann Shattler welcomed Callum Patrick Galusha on Saturday, March 17, who weighed in at seven pounds, one oz.
The luck of the Irish was with the family as Callum was born on Grandpa Don Patrick Robson’s birthday.
Meanwhile, I wonder if Grandpa Ralph’s rule will change for fishing. I say he will just have another angler in the boat.
The great aunts and uncles also are happy to welcome Callum into the Galusha clan.

The Devlin U.C.W.’s “Spring Fling” tea has been changed to Sunday, April 22 from the original date of May 6.
This event will take pace from 2-4 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.

Cards played at the Devlin Hall last week were won by Adelia Guba and Gerald Bullied, with the low score going to Lois Shine and Bob Meyers.
The next card party there is set for next Tuesday (March 27) at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

The Emo Legion will host its annual Good Friday walleye supper, featuring potatoes, veggies, and all the trimmings, on Friday, April 6.
The meal begins at 5 p.m., with take-outs available from 4-4:30 p.m.

The next Emo Legion 50/50 draw will be held Friday, March 30.
This month, the Legion is donating its profit to the Emo U.C.W., which will use the funds to purchase new equipment for the Emo Health Centre.
