The former Acklands-Grainger building on Sixth Street West is being guarded by a private security firm after a fire there Saturday morning.
The cause of the blaze has not been released but it’s clearly apparent the damage is extensive.
The building had been under renovation.
It was being converted into the new site for auto parts retailer Piston Ring, which currently is located on King’s Highway here.
