Fire hazard remains ‘low’

The forest fire hazard is “low” across the entire Northwest Region heading into the weekend.
No new fires were confirmed yesterday.
Meanwhile, there’s only one active fire in the region.
Kenora Fire #44 is a 0.2-hectare, lightning-caused blaze that’s listed as “being observed.”
The fire is smouldering and serving to renew the ecosystem in the conservation reserve on Lake of the Woods.
