Fire crews returning from Saskatchewan

Ontario forest firefighting personnel in Saskatchewan are demobilizing resources and planning a return home.
The first group was scheduled to return to the West Fire Region today, with a second group to the East Fire Region tomorrow.
Ontario, meanwhile, continues to provide assistance to British Columbia with 288 staff as well as support through equipment provisions of hose, pumps, and chainsaws.
In related news, no new fires were reported in the West Fire Region by yesterday evening.
Active fires continue to be monitored and no problems are anticipated.
Two new fires were reported Tuesday, both in Sioux Lookout District.
Sioux Lookout Fire #68 is located north of Sachigo Lake First Nation in the extreme far north.
It was listed at five hectares in size and being monitored.
Sioux Lookout Fire #69 was located just south of Pickle Lake, near Metcalf Lake.
This 0.1-ha blaze has since been declared “out.”
