FFPC caused outage

During system testing procedures at the Fort Frances Power Corporation’s MTS Substation yesterday, a faulty relay trip occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m., which remotely tripped Hydro One’s Fort Frances TS Substation.
The outage last approximately 47 minutes until power was restored at 6:37 p.m.
The system testing procedures were being performed as a requirement under the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) Reliability Compliance Program for maintenance of the IESO controlled grid protection system across Ontario.
The Fort Frances Power Corporation apologizes for any inconvenience that the power interruption might have caused.
