Falls lands charter flight

A few months ago, Penny Strongman of Strongman Travel in International Falls, through listening to residents, put in requests to many charter companies to fly out of the Falls airport.
She then notified Einarson Flying at the airport about her plans. As well, a presentation on her behalf was done in front of the airport commission!
Many letters were submitted from Strongman Travel about this area and the flights into and out of international falls, as well as the recently-completed renovation to the runway.
Some calls came in, but most were private charters and were too pricey!
Then earlier this fall, an e-mail in reply to her request was sent from Sun Country to Strongman Travel inquiring about the Falls airport. They, in turn, then contacted the airport directly and received their information!
To Strongman’s surprise, she received a phone call Nov. 17 from Don Laughlins Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino mentioning that she had been in touch with Sun Country and wondered if she would be interested in a charter flight from International Falls to their resort in Laughlin, Nev.
Yes, Strongman replied.
So, for the first time ever, Strongman Travel, Einarson Flying, and Don Laughlins Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino are bringing Sun Country Airlines to International Falls for a four-night, five-day stay at the resort.
The cost is $389 (U.S.) per person (double), which includes all air, hotel, taxes, fees, and transfers.
