The second-annual Fall Walleye Classic will take place this weekend (Oct. 1-2) on Northwest Bay.
More than 30 teams are registered.
The boats will launch at 8 a.m. both days, with the weigh-ins getting underway at 4 p.m.
Canteens will be set up, with a roast beef dinner and meatball supper also planned.

The 12th-annual Rainy River Walleye Tournament held last weekend was a huge success once again, with several Devlin anglers competing.
Ralph Galusha and Bill Godin were crowned as the “River Champs” for having the highest combined weight from both the Emo Walleye Classic and the RRWT.
They received $1,200, plus a trophy, for this award.

Patti Halstead (Hyatt) was honoured with a 60th birthday party this past Friday at the Fort Frances Legion.
Her actual birthday is tomorrow (Sept. 30).

Guthrie United Church will hold its annual “harvest supper” this Sunday (Oct. 3) form 5-7 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.
Admission is $13 for adults and $6 for children aged six-12, with those five and under eating free.
Come out and enjoy a delicious meal along with good companionship.

Cards played at the Devlin Hall last Tuesday (Sept. 21) saw the high go to Jim Kellar and Mickey McKinnon, with the low to Bob McLean and Jean Bragg.
The next card games there are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
