The Emo Health Centre is suspending walk in clinic for now due to the risk of having a bunch of sick people standing in the hall together or many in waiting room. If you have a cough stay home, it’s still likely to be a cold which we can’t treat anyway. You can call telehealth 1-866-797-0000 (not 811) or public health 1-807-468-3147 if you aren’t sure. If you think you need to be seen call the clinic and they will triage you, people will still need to be seen for other reasons. They encourage elderly and at risk people to stay home. Again they can try to triage by phone whether you should come in. They will renew meds by phone for now and cancel nonessential visits. This will be an evolving thing. They will change up as necessary depending on how things go.
