The Emo Toy Library and Resource Centre welcomed its new co-ordinator, Jennifer (Jen) Miedema, replacing Josette Vargas, who has secured employment elsewhere.
April Siemens is her assistant.
“October means Hallowe’en,” said Miedema, adding they will be having parties for all of the children.
The Playgroup party will be held Oct. 25, the Story Hour party on Oct. 29, and the Craft Club party on Oct. 31. Snacks and refreshments will be served, and don’t forget to dress up!
In other news, a new educational program called “Kindermusik,” open to children aged two-and-a-half to five and hosted by Bobbi Morken, will run Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the ETL.
Parents are asked to pre-register by calling the centre.
Meanwhile, short-term child care now is being offered Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at a cost of $2 per child.
Again, parents must pre-register for this service at least one day in advance.
A reminder that “Moms and Tots” will be returning Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. at the ETL.
Finally, take note that the ETL is open Tuesday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday from noon-5 p.m., Thursday from 1-7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Any donations of toys or craft supplies would be greatly appreciated. For more information, call the ETL at 482-
