ETL to hold skating party

The Emo Toy Library and Resource Centre wants everyone to join them tomorrow (March 11) from 10 a.m.-noon at the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre for free skating.
Everyone is welcome to participate, including parents and caregivers, but those interested are asked to bring along their own skates (and helmets for their children).
There also will be snacks and hot chocolate available.
A reminder that the ETL will be closed during this period.
In other news, coming soon to the ETL will be a whole new look provided by the Ontario Early Years, including new furniture and equipment in order for the centre to have different learning areas for your children.
All items provided by the Ontario Early Years will have to remain on site (i.e., they will not be available to borrow) but this means there always will be fully-equipped areas for the kids to play and learn in.
Come into the centre to find out more, said co-ordinator Jennifer Miedema, who added everyone is welcome and no membership is required.
The ETL is open Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-6 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m.
It’s closed Saturday and Sunday.
There’s a full schedule of activities for each day, including Story Hour, Infant Hour, Playground, and short-term child care. Contact the ETL at 482-2946 or at emotoylibkmts.ca for more info.
Finally, the ETL’s Website of the month is www.todaysparent.com, where you can find information on food and nutrition, crafts to make with your children, articles on education, health, and safety and much more.
There also are discussion forums, with some of the topics being family nutrition and labour advice.
