A belated Happy Birthday wish to Gertie Bujold, who was honoured with a party last Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Frances attended by her many family members and friends.
Gertie is one of the friendliest, positive ladies I know—a real role model for other women to look up to! And I wish her many more birthdays.

A little, silver-haired lady called her neighbour.
“Please come and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle and I can’t figure out how to get it started,” she said.
“What is it supposed to be when it’s finished,” the neighbour asked.
“According to the picture on the box, it’s a rooster,” the lady replied.
When her neighbour came over to help, the lady showed him all the puzzle pieces all over the table.
He studied the pieces for a moment, looked at the box, and then turned to her.
“First of all, no matter what we do, we’re not going to be able to assemble this into anything that resembles a rooster,” he said.
He then took her hand and said, “Secondly, let’s have a cup of tea and relax.”
Then with a deep sigh, he added, “Let’s put all the Corn Flakes back into the box.”
