Emo library wraps up summer program

The summer Emo Public Library reading program wound up August 20.
Over twenty-eight children registered with twenty-two participating to the close of the program.
The theme of this year’s reading program was “10,000 Reads Under the Sea.” Promotions were done through the local newspaper, and posters around town, at public schools and at the library.
The program was sponsored by the TD Bank Financial Group, The Ontario Library Service and the Emo Public Library. Prizes for our readers were donated by Tompkins Hardware, Emo Drugs, Chapple Township, and the Emo Public Library.
Summer student Christine Schulzki was again put in charge of the program. She listened to book reports, and received written and artistic reports. She made up the display Bulletin board/reading certificates and hugged the winners.
“She has done an excellent job,” said EPL Librarian Shirley Sheppard. The best of luck at University Christine and she will be passing her position onto Grace MacGibbon.
