Emo Legion to hold fish fry

The Emo Legion will host a walleye fish fry on Saturday, Feb. 10 (sorry for the misprint last week that read Feb. 19).
The meal begins at 4:30 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. Take-outs can be purchased at 4 p.m.
The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children six and under. Be sure to mark this on your calendar as the meal will be delicious.

I have some exciting news for you—I’m going to be a grandma.
Yes, Travis and Sara (my oldest son and his wife) are expecting their first child on Aug. 8 (which also happens to be Travis’ birthday).
Equally pleased is Travis’ father, Brian McCormick, and soon to be Uncle Adam and Aunt Carley!

I have some good news and bad news.
The good news is Carley is home from Australia and has started a new job at McTaggarts. The bad news is that we are now sharing a car and the hair dryer (hers broke on her way home and she won’t be able to afford one until her first paycheque).
So if you see me walking and having a bad day, just remember “Carley has returned!”

Robin’s 2¢:
“Aha!” said the customs inspector, gloating, as he hauled a bottle of whiskey out of the traveller’s suitcase.
“You said you had nothing but clothing in this bag. What’s this?”
“My night cap,” the traveller replied.
