The Emo Ministerial Association will be hosting an “All Church” picnic this Sunday (June 6) at 12:30 p.m. at the Emo Sportsfield.
Food will be provided by the various churches, and everyone is welcome to attend.
A reminder that this is a BYOC event (i.e., bring your own chairs).
Should the weather not co-operate, alternate arrangements will be made.

The new Emo and District Lions Club will be hosting its “Charter Night” banquet and dance this Friday (June 4) at the Emo Legion.
A social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with a short ceremony celebrating the establishment of the new club starting at 7 p.m.
A full turkey dinner, including, salads, rolls, and dessert, will follow the speeches.
Then a dance, featuring local band “Centre-line,” will go from about 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Chapple Heritage committee will be holding its annual museum tea this Saturday (June 5) from 2-4 p.m.
Everyone is invited to take a tour of the museum in downtown Barwick, where this summer’s new displays will highlight “jewellery from various decades.”
Museum hours for the month of June will be Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Emo Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual “Strawberry Social” on Friday, June 11 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria.
Admission is $3 at the door.
The draw on the picture, for which the auxiliary has been selling tickets, will be made during the afternoon.
All funds raised will go towards the upgraded X-ray equipment, which is already up and running at the Emo Health Centre.
The hospital auxiliary would like to thank everyone from across the district for their continued support of its projects.

The United Church summer camp, “Draw the Circle Wide,” will be held at July 26-30 at Sunny Cove for kids aged eight (or entering Grade 3 in September) to 14.
Registration forms are now available from the church office in Emo (482-2835) or from the other United Church congregations across the district.
The cost is $120 per child (up to a maximum of $350 per family). A “Sunshine Fund” is available for all or part of the registration.
Take noted that forms will be received on a first-come, first-served basis.
