The Emo Fall Fair is the latest casualty of COVID-19.
In a post to Facebook this morning, the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society (RRVAS) Board of Directors made the announcement that the Fall Fair, originally scheduled for August 13-15, 2020 would be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
No additional details for the cancellation were given.
Select Shows, the company that provides rides for the midway at the Emo Fair and other events across the district, announced Wednesday that they would not be going on the road this summer due to event cancellations.
That announcement contributed in part to the cancellation of Thunder Bay’s Canadian Lakehead Exhibition (CLE) for 2020.
The RRVAS post concludes by saying the board hopes to be “back up and running on August 19-21, 2021.”
