Emo dealership changes hands

After having been in business for 40 years, Emo Sales and Service has changed hands.
West End Motors of Fort Frances has purchased the Emo car dealership, effective today.
Fred and Judy Klug began operating Emo Sales and Service in 1964 as a Chrysler, Dodge, and Dodge Truck dealership. They successfully operated this dealership as a family business and recently their son, James, also became actively involved.
They employed nine full-time employees, with Fred Klug stating they “were the business’ greatest asset.”
All employees will be retained by the new owners.
West End Motors has been operating in Rainy River District for 58 years, having been owned and operated by the Avis family the entire time.
Roy Avis said he was very pleased to obtain such a well-run dealership and felt this acquisition would be good for the whole area.
West End Emo will continue to provide quality sales and service to all customers in Rainy River District.
The dealership will be closed for a short period of time to give staff an opportunity to spruce up the premises with a new coat of paint.
