Emo council challenged to carpet bowling

Emo council was challenged to a game of carpet bowling last Thursday (March 5) during the “Wheels to Meals” program at the Legion, but only Reeve Russ Fortier, Coun. Harri Sheloff, and clerk/administrator Brenda Cooke were brave enough to accept it.
Twenty-one seniors also were on hand.
Jose Balcewich welcomed the guests and thanked them for coming, after which lunch was served.
Co-ordinator Mollie Crozier, when asked who won the friendly games, replied it was “even-steven,” adding “they all enjoyed the occasion.”
It’s all about having fun playing the game, good fellowship, and a good meal.
The annual carpet bowling tournament will be held this Thursday (March 11) at the Emo Legion, with Crozier expecting six teams to participate.
