Emo Clinic moves into new health centre

It was moving day last Thursday and Friday for the Emo Clinic and other groups that now occupy the lower portion of the newly-renovated Emo Health Centre.
While the facility itself has undergone a facelift, the staff has not changed. They remain as courteous and helpful as they were before they set up the temporary clinic on Front Street while the renovations were done.
Last Thursday morning, nurses Donna Heyens and Rachel Nussbaumer, front desk clerk C. Strachan, and Dr. Whatley were all packing things up. Volunteers from the community helped make the smooth transition.
The following day, everything had to be hooked up and files properly arranged at the Emo Health Centre. Dr. Krampetz joined the staff and the work went on through the weekend to get ready for business-as-usual Monday morning.
Meals on Wheels clients also are now back on schedule. Starting this past Monday (March 5), Meals on Wheels no longer will be supplied by the Circle D Restaurant.
The Emo hospital will be back supplying them.
Due to long-term care standards, meals cannot be picked up by volunteers before 11:45 a.m. Please be patient while we make the change.
If you have any questions or wish to go on the program, call the Home Support office at 482-2796.
Meanwhile, a big thank you to Wendy and staff at the Circle D for taking the time to supply meals during the changeover. The Meals on Wheels committee appreciates all your hard work.
