Emo choir looking for new voices

The Emo Centennial Choir will be starting rehearsals next week in preparation for its sixth Christmas concert and new members are welcome to join.
No experience is necessary, so if you like to sing, come on out. Tenors and basses are in particular demand.
Choir director Renée Martin-Brown will be holding registration and auditions at the Christian Reformed Church in Emo on Monday night (Sept. 27).
Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the first rehearsal to follow at 7. Rehearsals will run there each Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. for 10 weeks.
The choir, which consists of 30-35 members, was created in December, 1998 as a kick-off to Emo’s centennial year—hence the name. It took a hiatus from the Christmas concert last year, but now is back in full form.
Martin-Brown said she will be preparing 10 selections of different types of music—both from the past as well as some contemporary numbers.
There is a small fee to cover the cost of music scores.
