Edward Carlson Profile

Edward Carlson is running for the position of reeve in Emo.
He works as a paramedic supervisor and lives with his wife, Diane. He has one son named Luke and is a fourth-generation son of Emo, as his family has lived in the community for more than 100 years.
Edward has been the acting reeve in the township since June, but began his work with council last October as a councillor.
He also has spent much of his time working as co-chair of the Emo Walleye Classic (four years), the chairperson of Golden Age Manor (four years), the referree-in-chief of Emo-Devlin-Barwick Minor Hockey Association (three years), and president of a federal riding association (three years).
In the coming term, Carlson would like to see Emo’s second subdivision up and running, and the completion of the bio-gas generation. He also would like to attract businesses, such as the abattoir, to Emo.
Another of his major issues is infrustructure—expansion of the water treatment capacity, waterline replacement, and the upgrade of roads in and out of town.
Carlson feels he has the ability to provide strong leadership for council because he has effective problem-solving abilities and a passion for serving the community.
