The Clover Valley Farmers’ Market in Fort Frances will be holding its annual Easter market this week, where there will be a wide variety of local meats, Easter flowers, and specialty breads to make your holiday celebration more enjoyable.
The market will be open tomorrow (April 9) from noon-5 p.m. and again Saturday (April 11) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at its usual McIrvine Road location.
As always, the market is a great place to visit with folks that perhaps you haven’t seen all winter long.
The weekly Saturday farmers’ markets will begin May 9.

Another annual spring event is Spring Fever Days in Emo on April 16-18.
The Emo Legion will offer its delicious soup-and-sandwich luncheon on the Friday and Saturday, with the cost being $6.50 (also includes a beverage).
There also will be crafts tables set up. Call the Legion at 482-2250 if you wish to rent a table for $10/day.
Also during Spring Fever Days, St. George’s Church will be selling homemade perogies on Saturday (April 18) at the Rejuvenate Energy Centre.
The cost is $3.50/dozen.

Guthrie United Church in Devlin is holding its annual “Spring Fling” and auction on Sunday, April 19 from 2-4 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.
Coffee and dessert will be served, and there also will be a penny table and bake sale.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.

The annual Rainy River District of the Performing Arts runs April 13-24, once again featuring vocal, piano, instrumental, and drama divisions.
People of all ages from across the district perform and it’s a very enjoyable event to attend.
