DYS teacher remembered in storybook

Three Grade 4/5 students—Marissa Smith, Paige Vien, and Jordan Ogden—spent weeks creating a storybook to honour a retiring teacher at Donald Young School in Emo.
Helen Mose is retiring after spending many years in the Grade 2 classroom.
The story is about a fictitious former student of Mrs. Mose who now is a biker. Mrs. Mose, after her retirement, gets a low-stress job in a candy factory and meets up again with this former student.
After several problems at the factory, they eventually start their own business together.
The book—besides telling the story—brings out some of the special events and Mrs. Mose’s personality traits the students remembered best about their year in Grade 2.
One copy of the book was presented to Mrs. Mose by the three authors while another copy was placed in the school library.
The story—in its entirety—can be viewed at dys.rrdsb.com
